January 10th, 2026 Match Results
Winter in January here in Utah usually means hot drinks, several layers of clothes, a foot or so of snow, freezing rain, mud…. Well, it usually is not the most pleasant time to go to the range. NOT THIS TIME Mother nature! It was cold with temperatures in the teens the evening before, but the day of the match hit mid 30’s, the sun was out doing its best to try and thaw us out but no snow, no mud and just a slight breeze. Other than the colder temperatures, it turned out to be an amazing day of shooting! We had 61 shooters come out with 5 first time competitors! The competition was very fierce with the top 19 shooters only separated by 10 impacts!
The top overall shooter was Stephanie Baxter, placing the Ladies Division on top this month! Stephanie shot an amazing 752.25, dropping only 5 shots for the entire 7 stages! Kaylyn Kingston comes in second place in Ladies only dropping 6 more than Stephanie. Kaylyn scored 693.27 which dropped her down to 11th overall. Joely Pratt comes in 3rd place, just 3 impacts behind Kaylyn with 664.2 points. Awesome shooting with our ladies!
2nd overall goes to Easton Baugh in the Young Guns Division! Easton was 1 shot behind Stephanie with 743.22 points. Second place silver goes to his younger brother Titus Baugh who scored 572.57 points. Third place is one of our newer shooters, Macrae Kalmar who scored 460.0 points for bronze.
3rd overall is Casey Hughes in our Open Division. Casey tied Easton with 741.48, just a couple seconds behind him in the tie breaker stage. Chris Baxter and James Young battled it out all day and tied for 2nd & 3rd place (5th and 6th overall), with Chris being just a little faster on the tie breaker stage to take 2nd in Open. Chris earned 712.57 points while James took home 3rd place bronze with 712.005 points. That’s some serious competition!
4th overall goes to our Old Guns Division! Carey Palmer stands on the #1 podium spot with 731.80 points. 2nd place silver goes to Owen Fjeldsted, just 3 shots behind with 703.84 points. 3rd place Bronze goes to Brad Kalmer with 671.17 points, again just 3 shots behind Owen.
7th overall was won by Brandon Caldwell shooting his Air Gun! Brandon earned 704.58 for that 1st place trophy. Jason Essington comes in 2nd with 541.34 points and taking home 3rd place bronze is Troy Fuit with 513.88 points.
9th overall goes to Colton Kalmar with his 1st place finish in the Semi-Auto division. Colton only dropped 10 shots total to earn 703.11 points. Bill Pendleton takes home 2nd place silver with 660.19 points and Spencer Brooks snatches up that 3rd place ribbon with 300.0.
1st in Base Division goes to Kevin King who scored 641.09 points. 2nd place silver went to Jeremiah Mani who scored 582.09 points. 3rd place bronze went to Jeff Lambert, earning 523.44 points for the match.
Our honorable mention is JoDee Mathis who won our Adaptive Division with 220.0 points.
6 of the 8 Divisions placed in the overall top 10 in scores! That’s an amazing competition with an incredibly wide variety of shooters and gear. It shows that if you can hit targets, you can be extremely competitive. We were truly blessed with the weather, and I thank all of you for coming out in the cold to continue to make our club the largest NRL22 club in the nation. It was a very fun COF to shoot this month, and everyone’s friendship made it so much better. Thank you all and we’ll see you on Valentines Day!
