What a scorcher of a day, with temps reaching 101 degrees, things were hot. We had 51 shooters that braved the burning sun to put some hot lead downrange and it was amazing. Not only was the sun on fire, but so were our competitors who fought all morning till the last shot to try and climb up on that 1st place podium spot.

The Old Gunners took the spotlight as Carey Palmer lands first place overall, and first place in the OG division, only dropping 3 shots for the match. Carey earned a staggering 782.651 for gold! Only 3 shots behind Carey is Larry Mathis who has been putting on his own heatwave. Larry ends up in 3rd overall and 2nd place OG with 751.93 points. 2 shots behind Larry is Owen Fjeldsted with 7th overall and 3rd place bronze with 732.327 points. Awesome job OG’s.

Thank you again this month for everyone who brought in porta-shades to help keep the firing line bearable. Thank you always for your help in taking down the match afterwords. Next month should be cooler – temperature wise anyways. Thank you again for your support.
