April 12th, 2025 Match Results
69 shooters braved the beautiful sunshine and incredible 70 degree weather to make it out to shoot our last match of the season. What an amazing turn out from an amazing group of people I like to call my friends. We had a few battles that came down to the outcome of this match for our season points, so the pressure was on for sure. Talk about keeping things competitive, the top 23 shooters are only separated by 10 impacts!!! To make that even more impressive, you have to scroll down to the 37th spot for 20 impacts behind 1st place.
Old Guns was one of those divisions that was separated by only a couple of points. When the dust finally settled, Carey Palmer emerged victorious! Not only did he win his division, but also ended up #1 overall for the match, and first place in Old Guns Division. Carey banked 713.9 points overall for the win. Right behind and battling him for the entire season is Owen Fjeldsted who comes in just 3 impacts less with an impressive 6th place overall, earning 2nd place silver for the division and 2nd place for the match. Owen scored 683.0 points. Cory Withers comes home with 3rd place bronze with 604.5 points. Awesome job OG’s!
Luke Nebelsick and Alberto Perez take home 2nd and 3rd place overall, both just 1 impact behind Carey for the win and runner up in Open Division. Luke was 4 seconds faster than Alberto to claim that 1st place gold! Luke earned 703.7 points to Alberto’s 703.3. 3rd place bronze for Open Division goes to Colton Kalmar, just 1 impact behind Luke and Alberto earning 690.5 points for the match.
Stephanie Baxter continues to battle for that top spot but ends up 3 impacts down into 5th place overall. That’s still plenty enough for 1st place in Ladies Division! Stephanie scores 683.1 points. Kim Garrett put the pressure on earning 654.9 points for that 2nd place silver. Louise Hoth earns 3rd place bronze with her 360.0 points.
Easton Baugh is one tough competitive Young Gun and after the bullets settle, finds himself sitting #1 gold and 8th place overall with 674.2 points. Just 3 impacts behind him is Teyl Peterson who scores 672.4 points and 2nd place silver. Kaylyn Kingston sits 3 shots behind Teyl for that 3rd place bronze tag earning 623.5. Amazing job Young Guns!
Air Rifle was just as competitive with a large group showing up this month. It was a battle that also came down to 1 shot and Matt Stajduhar squeezes ahead of Boyd Linder for that 1st place gold. Matt earned 634.9 points to Boyd’s 625.1 silver place finish. Spencer Bangerter takes home 3rd place Air Rifle with 603.3 points.
Our Base Division shooters keep things interesting as well and this month, Bill Pendleton takes the lead with an amazing 622.2 points for that 1st place podium finish. Adam Payton takes 2nd place silver just 2 impacts behind with 6014.8 points. Kyle Houge gets his podium finish as well with 3rd place bronze, earning 543.3 points.
