February 8th, 2025 Match Results
Missed it by “this” much! That’s how close this match was, just ask Luke Nebelsick, Chris Baxter and Jordan Baugh who only missed 4 shots for the entire match and are only separated by seconds, and that is our 9th, 10th and 11th places!!! We had our top 15 shooters separated by only 7 impacts! That’s amazing. The weather held out till the very last stage when it started to snow on the final shooters, but overall, it was a pretty amazing match! The COF was great, and everyone had an excellent time!
When the snow started to come down, it was Alberto Perez who found himself sitting on that top podium spot! Alberto dropped only 1 shot for the entire match and scored 774.8 points for that 1st place gold Open Division tag and 1st place overall! Right behind him was Boyd Linder, only 1 impact behind with 764.1 points for 2nd place overall and 2nd place Open Division. Sitting 1 impact behind Boyd is Levi Cress, taking 4th overall and 3rd place bronze with 754.4 points.
Stephanie Baxter was our lone ladies shooter this month, and she won 1st place gold in Ladies Division, not by default for sure. Stephanie scored an amazing 763.7 which put her 3rd place overall, dropping only 2 shots for the entire match, 1 shot behind Alberto and just seconds behind Boyd. Awesome job again Stephanie!
Sitting in 6th place overall, just 2 impacts from 1st place is Owen Fjeldsted, taking home gold in Old Guns with 751.7 points. Larry Mathis takes home 2nd place silver with 630.0 points and Scott Robertson rounds out our top 3 OG’s with 551.3 points.
Even our Young Guns got in on that top 10 action with Kaylyn Kingston dropping only 4 shots for the match! Kaylyn gets 8th place overall and 1st place in Young Guns with 741.0 points! Just 4 shots behind her is Easton Baugh, earning 704.7 points for 2nd place silver. Kelden Kingston scores a couple more impacts ahead of Aletta Lani for that 3rd place bronze tag, earning 420.3 points. WTG Young Guns!
Our air rifle shooters battled it out again this month and it was Matt Stajduhar who came out on top with 663.2 points for gold! Troy Fuit takes home that second place silver tag with 605.0 points and Kathy Stajduhar takes home 3rd place bronze with 390.6.
We had a bunch of new Base Class shooters join us this month which was awesome. Base can be very competitive, and Adam Payton led the way with 560.1 points for that first-place gold tag! Cody Hatch brings home a 2nd place finish with 480.0 points and Avery Cook earns 3rd place bronze with 430.0 points.
February is usually the last of the cold months and hopefully it will start to warm up. We look forward to March and hopefully some warmer temperatures. We had 6 brand new shooters join our club this month and they all had an amazing time! Totals for this month was 52 shooters, 3 Air Rifle, 8 Base, 1 lady, 7 OG, 27 Open, and 6 Young Guns! Thank you once again everyone for the help in setting up and taking down the props and targets! It helps a ton, and it is very appreciated!
