May 10th, 2025 Match Results

We hosted 73 amazing shooters in our Season Finale / New Season Kick Off match this month.  It was an amazing time with Trophies for our top 3 division winners, a generous prize table with prizes for everyone, catered BBQ lunch provided by Prime Time BBQ, and 5 fun monthly NRL22 stages.  The wind brought some frustrating challenges, but the weather overall was awesome!  Temperatures stayed in the low 80’s for the entire match.

The top 23 shooters were only separated by 10 impacts, and we had 6 of the 7 divisions represented in that group.  When the BBQ sauce began to pour onto the pulled pork, it was Boyd Linder who stood proud on top with 483.9 points to take first overall and first in the Open Division.  Just two impacts behind him is David Civello, taking 2nd place silver with 455.4 points and one impact behind David is Dario Perez with an amazing 444.1 points for that third-place bronze tag.

Stephanie Baxter continues to show why she’s first in the nation by taking 5th overall and 1st place gold in the Ladies Division.  Stephanie racked up 433.4 points.  In her first time moving into Ladies Division, Kaylyn Kingston gets an impressive 2nd place silver with 380.9 points.  3rd place bronze goes to Kim Garrett, earning 202.3 points.  Amazing job Ladies!

Hudson Hughes shows he can hang with the big boys with an amazing 7th place overall, just 7 impacts behind Boyd Linder.  Pretty impressive for this Young Gun shooter.  Hudson put up 413.5 points for that top podium spot.  Easton Baugh was hot on his heels but came up 2 impacts short, but still enough to get 2nd place silver.  Easton scored 392.4 points.  3rd place YG goes to Kelden Kingston with 310.0 points for Bronze.

Dusty Powers puts his Air Rifle in the top 10, taking 9th overall and 1st in Air Rifle Division with 412.7 points.  Matt Stajduhar was chasing him the whole match but dropped 3 more shots to end up in 2nd place with 383.5.   Mike Kofoed brings home 3rd place bronze with 320.4.

Old Guns kick off another season on fire with the top 3 only separated by 2 shots.  When the lead settled, Larry Mathis steps onto the top podium spot with 400.5 points and 13th overall.  Just two impacts behind is Mark Miller and Owen Fjeldsted.  Mark pulls off 1 more shot to get 2nd place silver with 390.8, edging out Owen’s 383.7, handing him 3rd place bronze.  This is going to be a great season with this group.  WTG OG’s!

Our newest division is Semi-Auto, and we had 2 entered.  James Bywater takes 1st place and 14th overall with an impressive 394.5 points.  Just 1 impact behind him is Bill Pendleton, taking home 2nd place silver with 382.5.

Base Division had its own race going on and Adam Payton continues to impress, taking 1st place gold with 340.0 points.  Jeff Blaylock snags up 2nd place silver with 213.4 and Kevin King pulls 3rd place bronze, earning 151.5 points.

We wrapped up another amazing season and I will challenge any club out there to claim they have better shooters than our club.  I don’t think that’s possible.  Every year I look back at what our club has achieved, and I am amazed.  It would never be possible without all of you, and I look forward to our next season.  Special thanks to Carey and Owen for always being there to help support me with the set up and special thank you for the many hands we had this month taking down the stages and gathering up the targets.  Your help is sincerely appreciated!!!!  See y’all next month!
