December 14th, 2024 Match Results
Great match today! We had 63 awesome shooters show up to challenge the monthly COF, and the weather! It must have been quite a fearsome showing because the weather kept its distance! We had overcast skies most of the morning with winds blowing 7-12 mph all day. The rain sprinkled for about 45 seconds, then the weather tucked its tail between its clouds and ran away, leaving beautiful clear sunny skies for the last half of the match. Temperatures crept up to the 40’s which was still a bit chilly, but nothing as bad as it could have been. Overall, it was pretty amazing for a December match.
Talking about amazing, check out what Alberto Perez did this month. Alberto takes overall 1st place, and gold in Open Division with a score of 752.1 points! As always, it wasn’t easy to do because Josh Cagle was only 1 impact behind, scoring an impressive 743.5 points for 2nd place silver. Brandon Caldwell pulled a 3rd place bronze tag with 705.0 points.
We move to our next highest scorer of the match, and we jump to Young Guns! Easton Baugh continues to amaze everyone with 4th overall and 1st place gold with 704.4 points, barely missing the top three podium spots by 6 seconds! 2nd place silver goes to Kaylyn Kingston who scores 14th overall and 642.8 points. 3rd place Young Guns bronze goes to Titus Baugh with 482.1 points.
OG’s continue to battle each month in finishes and in the season points race! This month Carey Palmer pulls it all together to take 6th place overall and 1st place gold with 693.9 points. Silver goes to Owen Fjeldsted with 520.0 points and 2rd place bronze is taken home by Corey Withers with 493.3 points.
Our ladies are always out to impress, and Stephanie Baxter continues to dominate with 671.3 points for 11th place overall and 1st place gold! Joely Pratt is just 2 shots behind Stephanie with 653.5 points and Kim Garrett takes home bronze with 572.7.
Base Division has some of our newest club shooters and things are getting tight! This month has Adam Payton taking home gold with 530.6 points, just one impact ahead of Avery Cook who wins silver with 521.3, and Michael Howard is just two impacts away from Avery for that 3rd place bronze tag. Michael scored 502.3 points. Way to keep it close Base Division!
Air rifle was limited with the number of competitors this month with so much going on in the Air Rifle world, but we still had 3 of the best show up and Matt Stajduhar stands proudly on top with 613.4 points! Rick Plumb takes home Silver with 352.0 points and Troy Fuit drops 2 impacts more to land 3rd place bronze. Troy scored 350.1 points for the match.
It’s strange that this is the last match of the year, things have gone by so fast! We’ll continue the season battles next year in January and work our way towards Nationals in May / June. As always, thank you everyone for your continued support of our club and for the abundancy of help setting up and taking down the match.
