September 13th, 2025 Match Results
September is the down slide to fall and predecessor to winter. Things start cooling off and the weather begins to change up a bit. Days get shorter but the fall leaves and cooler evenings are a blessing, especially here in the beautiful state of Utah. The cool weather was amazing Saturday, but that was all that cooled off! We had 46 shooters, 9 of them 1st time shooters! The divisions were 16 Open, 6 OG, 13 Base, 4 Ladies, 3 Young Guns, 1 Air Rifle and 2 Semi-Auto. With this amazing field, it came down to just seconds as our top 6 shooters were only separated by 2 impacts and our top 3 were separated by only 7 seconds!
Carey Palmer takes home 1st place overall and 1st place in OG with a score of 715.5 points! He had to give it all he could, because Owen Fjeldsted was literally right behind him and took home 2nd place overall and 2nd place silver with 715.0 points. Yes, just 5 seconds behind him. Brad Kalmar took 3rd place bronze in OG with 643.8 points.
Just 7 seconds behind Carey and 2 seconds behind Owen is Kaylyn Kingston who 1st place gold in Ladies Division, and takes 3rd place overall with 714.8 points! Stephanie Baxter finished 2 impacts behind Kaylyn for 2nd place silver with 694.6 points, and Kim Garrett takes 3rd place bronze with 550.0.
Next is Adam Payton, taking 4th place overall and 1st place in Open Division with 702.0 points. James Young is 1 impact behind Adam with 694.5 points for 2nd Silver, and Casey Hughes is 1 impact behind James with 683.6 points for that final 3rd place bronze tag.
Hudson Huges continues to dominate the Young Guns Division with another 1st place finish with 550.8 points. WTG Hudson! Nathan Marshall takes home 2nd place silver with 302.7 points and Jay Chamberline, in only her 2nd match ever gets 3rd place bronze with 290.0!
Base Division was huge this month with many new competitors. Kevin King comes out on top with 503.6 points for 1st place gold! Second place silver goes to David Wong with 463.1 points and Mark Jenkins takes home 3rd place bronze with 420.0.
Semi-Auto Division had 2 shooters this month and Colton Kalmar puts his autoloader 22lr in 8th place overall and 1st place gold with 672.0 points! Kevin Arthur takes 2nd place silver with 321.0.
Jason Essington scored 433.0 points to take 1st place gold in the Air Gun Division.
